Brick Separation Around Outdoor Walls.

Take a walk around the house and check; do you see any cracks in or between the bricks? While sometimes these can be purely cosmetic, most of the time cracks are an indication of foundation settling and shifting under your walls.

A fireplace with a chimney on the outside wall is a good place to start looking. Another place to look for separation is around your slab perimeter and around the windows or doors frames.
